In together celebrating and enlivening Syawal, three ministries namely the Ministry of Development, Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications and Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports made a visit to longhouses at the rural area in Belait District, 5th May morning. The Hari Raya Aidilfitri Get-Together Ceremony began with a visit to Bang Taong Longhouse, Kampung Apak-Apak; followed by Kampung Sukang Longhouse and Julangan Titah Kampung Melilas Longhouse.

Leading the delegation were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid, Minister of Development; Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. Also held were cultural performances and launching of Reading Corner at the three longhouses as well as presentation of reading books from the Language and Literature Bureau and Islamic Da'wah Centre.

With the rapid advancement of technology, the rural areas in Belait District are also not left behind with fast broadband network services. During the visit, Unified National Networks Sendirian Berhad (UNN) showed a data speed test demonstration. Also joining the delegation was a Member of the Legislative Council.
